As part of the Water First Internship Program, WBAFN interns participated in a Water Quality Workshop featuring teachings by Will Morin at Laurentian University. The session provided valuable insights into Indigenous perspectives on water, environmental stewardship, and the importance of protecting water resources for future generations.
Participants engaged in discussions that combined traditional knowledge with contemporary water management practices, fostering a deeper understanding of the cultural, environmental, and community significance of clean water. The workshop also encouraged collaboration, knowledge sharing, and capacity building among interns and community members.
Through opportunities like this, Water First interns continue to strengthen their skills, expand their understanding of water stewardship, and support First Nations communities in protecting and managing vital water resources.
