Pilot Project Overview: The Waabnoong Bemjiwang Association of First Nations will undertake to develop an asset data repository through current technology and to provide member First Nations with technical support and training.
1. Software Development & Customization Establish a clear objective on First Nations/Tribal Council data and system requirements Create a detail work plan that contains tasks segmented by description of work, starting and ending dates, milestones, material, budget and other direct costs such as subcontracts
Conduct a survey of existing data sets, coding, format and determine future requirements Conduct a comprehensive survey on required network and hardware infrastructure Ensure processes are included to allow for internal and external stakeholders contributions Prepare process mapping and hierarchy of user roles for Tribal Council and First Nation Create proof-of-concept deployment for system rigorous development, testing and modification
2. Implementation Plan
Ensure all prerequisites have been fulfilled before implementation date Ensure required network and hardware infrastructure are in place and tested Ensure installation and configuring all software is according to prescribed business plan Perform all required system data conversion & merge prior to system going live As per approved business model ensure system functionality meets desire objectives Determine any risk and consequence of failure with system deployment Implement system roll out strategy for deployment and training plan 3. Capacity Development & Training Plan
Training plan ensures both internal and external users are keep current with project objectives Ensure all manual and standard operating procedures (SOP) are available Provide basic system orientation training to key administrators and managers Provide comprehensive training to key system end-users and administrators
